Banana Crumb Muffins

Today, I am going to show you how to make these yummy banana muffins! The first thing we are going to do is preheat our ovens to 375 degrees (F), or 190 degrees (C). Next, we are going to prep our ingredients. First we are going to mash our bananas. Take four bananas and mash them in a small bowl. Next, we are going to combine our dry ingredients. You may sift them if you want to, but I don't have a sifter so I didn't. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.  Set your dry ingredients aside until later. Now that our main ingredients are prepped, we are going to start mixing our wet ingredients. To the mashed banana, we are going to add our sugar, egg, and melted butter and mix them until they are combined. Make sure your butter is cool before adding it into your bananas. Once the wet ingredients are mixed, add the wet to the dry and fold together. Make sure not to over mix the ingredients. Befire we bake these muffins, we are going to make a cinnamon s...

Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits

Buttermilk biscuits are a delicious breakfast food. Especially with butter and jelly! To start out, you will need: - 1 cup butter, softened - 4 cups four - 2 tbsp. sugar - 4 tsp. baking powder - 1/4 tsp. baking soda - 2 tsp. salt - 1 1/2 cups buttermilk First, I preheated my oven to 450 degrees. Next, I put my 1 cup of butter and my flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt  into a medium to large bowl.  If you had a pastry blender, you can use that, but since I don't I just used my hand and mixed it all together until it looks like fine bread crumbs.  Next, add the buttermilk. Stir it all together until the dough leaves the side of the bowl (the dough will be sticky. I prepared my kneading surface by sprinkling flour on on my counter. Knead your dough lightly for about 10 times, or until your dough starts to actually look like a dough, (smooth and soft).  Roll out your dough to 1/2 inch thick. If ...

Homade Chocolate Chip Muffins

I made homemade chocolate chip muffins using one of the recipes I found on http://allrecipes.com/ The ingredients are:  - 4 cups of flour  - 1 cup of white sugar  - 6 tsp. of baking powder  - 1 tsp. salt  - 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips  - 1 1/2 cups of milk (if you have an allergy, you could probably use water)  - 2 eggs  - 2/3 cup of vegetable oil I  doubled the recipe to make 24 muffins, but if you only want 12, cut the recipe in half. First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. In a larger bowl, mix together the dry ingredients and the chocolate chips. Now this kind of looks like the chocolate chip muffin mix you would buy at the store.  Next, in a smaller bowl, beat together the milk, eggs, and vegetable oil. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well moistened (the recipe says it will be lumpy).  Spoon into 24 baking cups, or if you cut it in half, 12 baking cu...
