Cookies 'N Cream Donut

These Cookies 'N Cream donuts are the most delicious, fluffy, and moist homemade donuts I have ever made! This  recipe  makes 6 donuts, but I tripled when I made mine. To start out, I crushed my Oreo cookies.

Next, in a large bowl, I combined cake flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, I combined the wet ingredients; cream, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.

Like in any donut recipe, I added the wet ingredients to the dry. After I combined them together, I added some of my Oreo cookies to my batter.

I put my donut batter in a pipping bag without a tip, and pipped my donut batter into my donut pans. And baked them in my oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Meanwhile, for my glaze, I mixed powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla.

When my donuts were baked and cooled, I dipped them in the glaze and sprinkled the rest of my Oreo cookies on top, and continued doing this until all of my donuts were glazed. My donuts were done!

Here is the recipe for these delicious Cookies 'N Cream donuts. I personally needed more Oreo cookies, but it is all on your preference:

Cookies 'N Cream Donuts (Makes 6)
- 3/4 cups cake flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup cream
- 1 egg
- 1/3 tbsp. vanilla
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- 3 tbsp. Oreo cookies

Glaze:
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 tbsp. Oreo cookies

Preheat your oven to 350. Crush 3 tbsp. Oreo cookies. In a large bowl, mix together cake flour, sugar, baking powder,  and salt. In a small bowl , combine cream, egg, vanilla, and butter. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Add the Oreo cookies. Pipe the batter into the donut pans. Bake them for 10-12 minutes. Mix the powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla together to make a glaze. Dip the donuts in the glaze, and sprinkle 3 tbsp. crushed Oreo cookies on top.

Blue and White Swirl Cake

So here it is....my first real cake decorating video and post! I made chocolate cake, filled with chocolate icing, and covered in blue and white flowers and stars. This cake looks a little hard to make, but in reality is very easy ! To start out, I baked two nine inch chocolate cakes, let them cool, and leveled them using my cake leveler. Then I filled and stacked them. I used store bought icing to fill the cake. More info on that below. I finally crumb coated them and put them in the freezer to chill for 15 minutes. For this cake, I made some American buttercream, and dyed half of it blue. I used some blue food coloring I had on hand, and probably put about 5-6 drops of in in my buttercream. I was worried I would not have enough buttercream to pipe on the outside of my cake if I were to fill it with my buttercream. So instead of filling my cake with the buttercream, I used a can of chocolate store bought icing I had in the pantry. So I filled and crumb coated my cakes wi...

Snickerdoodles

Since Fall is here, I thought I would post a fall themed recipe. So I usually use the recipe I have in my Betty Crocker cookbook, but today I wanted to try something different. I went online and found this recipe from Cookies and Cups, so check out her blog. I think I will probably use the Betty Crocker recipe, so I will tell you more about that at the end of this post. As usual when creaming butter and sugar, you really want to make sure you do it well. I think I creamed mine for at least 3 minutes. More time, such as 5 minutes, would be even better. Once the butter is all creamed together with the sugars, you are going to add your egg and egg yolk one at a  time.   Before we mix the eggs, we are going to add our baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla. I didn't include the clip of me adding the baking soda because I didn't want you to get it confused with the cream of tartar, but don't worry, I added it. So once all of that is is ...
