M&M Cookies











M&M cookies are very colorful; and very delicious. These original cookies are delicious,  or you can make them even better by making them a chocolate M&M cookie. I am using the M&M mini milk chocolate baking chips.

If you want the recipe for the chocolate M&M cookies, it is on the back of the package. The recipe for the regular kind is:


  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup stick butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
1 package (12 oz.) M&M's


To start out I creamed my brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and butter together.


I then added my a portion of my flour and my baking soda and salt. I mixed it well. Then I added the rest of my flour. Make sure to mix this very slowly!! If you don't you will have flour all over you!



I then folded in the M&M's.



(Note: you may have some M&M's and flour at the bottom of your bowl; don't worry about it!). I then molded the dough into balls and placed them on an un-greased cookie sheet and baked them at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. The time will depend on your stove. so you might have to shorten or lengthen the time. As with all cookies, the center will be soft, but will harden up in 5 minutes or so. You will no when the are done when they are golden brown. And there you are! M&M cookies!

Blue and White Swirl Cake

So here it is....my first real cake decorating video and post! I made chocolate cake, filled with chocolate icing, and covered in blue and white flowers and stars. This cake looks a little hard to make, but in reality is very easy ! To start out, I baked two nine inch chocolate cakes, let them cool, and leveled them using my cake leveler. Snickerdoodles

Since Fall is here, I thought I would post a fall themed recipe. So I usually use the recipe I have in my Betty Crocker cookbook, but today I wanted to try something different. I went online and found this recipe from Cookies and Cups, so check out her blog. I think I will probably use the Betty Crocker recipe, so I will tell you more about that at the end of this post. As usual when creaming butter and sugar, you really want to make sure you do it well. I think I creamed mine for at least 3 minutes. More time, such as 5 minutes, would be even better. Once the butter is all creamed together with the sugars, you are going to add your egg and egg yolk one at a  time.   Before we mix the eggs, we are going to add our baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla.
